Job Summary

We have an immediate need for a Senior Operations Program Manager (OPM) who will perform overall operations and functional planning for the execution of assigned program(s). This person will drive the closure of all new product introduction support from an operations standpoint, including scheduling the entire program to successfully launch manufacturing operations and working cross‑functionally with Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, and other stakeholders to deliver on‑time delivery.

Job Responsibilities
  • Review new bid requirements with the Operations Managers (Production, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, and Warehouse) to evaluate business forecasts and pinpoint vulnerabilities.
  • Hold a production kick‑off meeting with the Operations team after the initial program kick‑off to align scope and expectations.
  • Ensure contract flow‑downs are identified and passed to Shipping, Manufacturing, etc., and drive cross‑functionally to meet manufacturing start dates.
  • Interact with Program Management on cost issues, monitoring target costs versus proposal costs for manufacturing labor and other operational costs.
  • Coordinate with Engineering and Quality on shop‑floor audits, assessments, and test node pass/fail criteria; create non‑conformance management plans during development.
  • Advise on item‑master changes and updates, monitor creation of manufacturing documentation (PATH documents), and ensure readiness for manufacturing.
  • Monitor changes in direct labor or support requirements that could impact cost or lead times.
  • Assist communication among manufacturing, engineering, and quality; monitor weekly program meetings for potential issues.
  • Audit BOMs during development to ensure completeness and compliance with production and material handling requirements.
  • Help expedite critical components to ensure on‑time deliveries and manufacturing start date milestones.
  • Seek innovative ways to improve Operations’ contribution to company goals and align Operations with overall company plans and strategy.
  • Research and analyze costing information for cost reduction opportunities.
  • Evaluate discrepancy reports signed off by program engineers and QC engineers, submitting information for re‑evaluation.
  • Represent Operations during customer negotiations and program reviews; validate bids, supply PO/LOC copies, and prepare charts for customer presentations.
Qualifications
  • BS degree in operations management, business, or engineering.
  • 7–10 years of experience in low‑volume, high‑technology manufacturing in aerospace or defense.
  • Knowledge of supply chain management tools and procedures.
  • Leadership and management skills in an operational role, including influence management and conflict resolution.
  • Experience with metrics for assessing program and operations progress, productivity, and variance analysis.
  • Experience in finance, engineering, logistics, or manufacturing.
  • Strong customer interface skills.
  • Demonstrated problem‑solving skills.
  • Track record of managing complex new product development efforts in high‑technology industries.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • US citizenship required.
Additional Desirable Qualifications, Skills and Knowledge
  • Experience with DoD, ITAR, EAR, FAR, DFAR regulations.
Salary and Benefits

The salary range for this position is $111,709–$173,428. In addition to base pay, employees may be eligible for annual performance‑based bonuses, equity awards, and overtime pay (for non‑exempt employees).
