This posting is an open pool position. There may or may not be available openings at this time. Please contact the head coach to inquire if there is an opening. When an opening does occur, the hiring manager will draw from the pool of applicants on file to assist the head coach in providing leadership, organization, and supervision of a specific athletic team program.

The role supports the mission of Fitchburg State University and the Athletics Department philosophy.

• Develop knowledge of and abide by current NCAA, MASCAC or other affiliated conferences, rules and regulations regarding recruiting, eligibility and sport‑specific rules concerning practice and playing seasons.
• Maintain knowledge of current sport game rules and changes to those rules as they occur.
• Assist the head coach with all phases of the organization of the program as requested by the head coach, including practice planning, contest management, recruiting, fundraising, and other responsibilities.
• Maintain record of program‑related hours worked in order to comply with contracted maximum number of hours allowed as per the Fair Labor Standards Act.
• Conduct oneself in an ethical manner during practices and contests and demand appropriate behavior from all team personnel.
• Represent the program at department meetings and functions in the absence of the head coach.
• Other duties as requested.

• College playing and coaching experience in the sport for which you are applying.
• Demonstrated understanding of sport rules and regulations.
• Knowledge of NCAA Division III philosophy, recruiting, rules and regulations.
