JOB SUMMARY:
Sizer School, a North Central Charter Essential School, is seeking a driven, dynamic, and experienced special education teacher to be part of the high school instructional team. This educator is responsible for creating a classroom environment that supports all students and brings a passion for implementing best instructional practices, wrap-around student support services, and a commitment to promote an already existing positive collaborative environment.
Only candidates with a deep passion for the Sizer School mission and ready to teach in and be part of an exemplary innovative public middle/high school are considered.
Provides specialized instruction for high school inclusion support within content areas and writes Individualized Education Plans in collaboration with the IEP. Manages a caseload of students with Individualized Education Plans, conducts IEP meetings (annual reviews) for students on compliance with IDEA collaboratively with Grade Level Teams to plan for required assessments for initial and 3‑year re‑evaluations.
