About the Role:

We're seeking experienced Printer Technicians to install and configure commercial printers and copiers across various business sites. This role includes equipment setup, network configuration, paper feed/jam troubleshooting, and ensuring all hardware/software components are functioning optimally.

You'll be expected to deliver professional, clean, and timely installations with a focus on client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities :

• Unpack, assemble, and install commercial-grade printers and copiers
• Configure devices on local networks (IP setup, driver installation, wireless integration)
• Calibrate printing preferences, paper trays, and finishing options per client requirements
• Troubleshoot and resolve common hardware issues (e.g., paper jams, print quality problems)
• Provide guidance on optimal printer use and routine maintenance
• Ensure the workspace is clean and wiring is secure, discreet, and safe
• Communicate clearly with clients and confirm completion and satisfaction before departure
• Coordinate with dispatch or bring a second tech if lifting or transporting larger machines

Requirements

• Experience in printer/copier installation or IT field service work
• Comfortable with network and software setup (TCP/IP, print drivers, etc.)
• Proficient with tools needed for unboxing, securing, and wiring hardware
• Must own and bring your own basic tools and laptop/tablet for configuration
• Physically able to move and lift commercial print units (can bring helper if needed)
• Reliable vehicle and valid driver's license
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Independent, punctual, and customer-focused

• $40-$45/hour, depending on experience and job scope
• Mileage reimbursement for travel over 20 miles (one way)

Note: This is a 1099 contractor role. You'll manage your own schedule, tools, and transportation. Dispatch support and pre-approved client expenses are covered.
