Participates as a member of the hospital management team in planning, policy formulations and decision making. Responsible for developing, coordinating, and promoting the patient care standards / practices in accordance with legal, ethical, professional, and organizational standards. Assumes responsibility of establishing an environment which will enhance quality and excellence. Evaluates the quality and cost effectiveness of staffing, staff retention and staff development.

The Manager, Emergency Department represents the hospital in community activities related to healthcare needs, education and long range planning for future healthcare.

• Georgia licensed RN, and ACLS required, BSN desirable.
• Three years experience as an RN, at least one year of ER experience.
• Demonstrated leadership qualities, effective communication at all levels, knowledge of triage, assessment, advanced skills in treatment of critical medical and trauma patients.
