Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • This role reports directly to the FSQR Manager and has dotted line supervisory responsibilities to the QA Techs, Sr. QA Tech, and Sanitors. Dotted line reporting means the FSQR Coordinator will help with employee development, absentee coverage, and employee accountability. The FSQR Coordinator will not manage salaries or other UKG responsibilities.
  • Knowledge source and example for MANA FSQR policies, programs, and procedures.
  • Cultivates relationships by engaging employees on the floor – presence on the production floor is 60% of the workday.
  • Champions Mana’s culture, employee safety, food safety, and quality efforts.
  • Performs other duties as assigned within the scope of this role.
  • Willing to work any shift as needed.
  • Supports implementation and maintenance of the food safety, quality, regulatory management system for the manufacturing campus.
  • Monitor production schedules, work flow, and FSQA consumables inventory to meet the demands of the operation.
  • Responsible for leading hold and release program, and finished product and raw material sampling.
  • Direct and mentor FSQR and Sanitation teams.
  • Foster a culture of safety, teamwork, accountability, and mission alignment.
Compliance, Safety, and Quality Assurance
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal food safety and workplace safety regulations (e.g., FSSC, FDA, GDA, GFSI, OSHA).
  • Ensure compliance with customer requirements (e.g.; FSSC, Unicef, USDA-AMS)
  • Work closely with the Production team to maintain product integrity and safety.
  • Participate in internal/external audits and continuous improvement initiatives (eg, 5S, RCA, performance walks, MDI (Managing for Daily Improvement), blitzes).
Strategic Planning & Cross-Functional Coordination
  • Collaborate with leadership on strategic planning regarding shut-downs, major PM’s and equipment and process improvements.
Requirements Skills and

Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of employee safety standards, food safety regulations, and quality control practices.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to organize, manage multiple priorities, and maintain high attention to detail.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Food Ready AI, and Net Suite.
Education and Experience:
  • Requires a high school diploma or equivalent
  • 3+ years of experience in food operations, quality, or food safety.
  • PCQI Certification, FSSC training, Sanitation, Pest Control training is highly desired.
  • Clear understanding of low moisture foods unique process hazards.
Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods of standing and walking in production environments.
  • Occasional periods of sitting at a desk, working on a computer and/or attending training.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds at times.
  • Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities.
Summary

The FSQR Coordinator will support the FSQR Manager in leading and directing the daily operations of a FSQR team at a site which produces peanut paste based RUTF (Ready to Use Therapeutic Food) for infants and children suffering from SAM (Severe Acute Malnourishment). This role is key for the development of employees, continuous improvement initiatives, plant and food safety and modeling Mana’s culture.
