Controller – Flagstaff, AZ (Part‑Time)

Serve as the outsourced Controller/CFO for multiple non‑profit clients. Key duties include:
- Transforming nonprofit client financial departments to support mission fulfillment
- Financial reporting and presentation for management and board decision‑making
- Implementing improvements to accounting, internal controls, compliance policies, and best practices
- Transactional activities: accounts payable, accounts receivable (revenue recognition & billing), payroll, general accounting, reconciliations, month‑end close, and maintaining work papers
- Analysis, budgeting, forecasting and data visualization
- Grant management, allocations, and funder reporting
- Preparation for and management of annual audit
- Training opportunities for clients and staff
- Passionate about working with or supporting nonprofit organizations
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (required)
- 5–7+ years of accounting experience
- Preference for remote experience
- Ability to independently manage multiple clients and respond promptly
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Experience with multiple general ledger packages, especially Quick Books, and electronic bill pay systems
- Non‑profit accounting, public accounting, or consulting experience is a plus
- CPA certification is a plus
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus

Hourly rate: $50–$65 per hour for this non‑exempt position. Total compensation may increase with overtime pay and eligibility for bonuses. Professional development reimbursement and annual technology stipend are provided.
