The Account Manager II is responsible for working with Advisors/Client Executives and Account Executives to service client accounts. The position requires day-to-day client servicing, with a focus on managing renewals and marketing processes, preparing materials for presentations and communications in collaboration with senior team members. The role involves developing relationships with clients and carrier contacts, and working proactively to deliver services.
You may also support the Account Management Team as assigned.
- Proactively develop relationships with carrier and client contacts; may take an active role in meetings
- Prepare and send requests for proposals to applicable insurance carriers and summarize results; draft renewal presentations
- Review proposals and carrier source documents for accuracy in collaboration with the Account Executive or Advisor/Client Executive; begin direct communication with clients and carriers with approval
- Create and maintain client files in accordance with office procedures; may manage client policy records in the agency management system
- Serve as first point of contact for billing questions from clients and insurance company personnel, with Accounting Department assistance as needed
- Highly organized with excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Self-confident with the ability to make sound independent decisions
- Ability to interact with a variety of people and work well in a team or autonomously
- Calm, courteous, and professional demeanor
- Customer-focused with ability to establish and maintain relationships
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Ability to read, analyze and reconcile financial reports
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; attention to detail and effective decision making
- Flexibility to changing priorities, deadlines and technology
- Associate degree (or equivalent); BA/BS preferred
- More than 3 years’ client service and/or industry and product line experience
- P&C Insurance License required
