Summary
  • Position type:
    Full‑time, non‑exempt, hourly supervisor role.
  • Scope of Role:
    Supervises a single program or unit within a program, typically supporting 4‑8 individuals in residential settings or 10‑15 individuals in periodic, vocational or day programs. Duties include direct support, professional activities, and supervision.
Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise Direct Support Professionals (DSPs).
  • Oversee the day‑to‑day operation of the program, including delivery of supports, implementation of person‑centered plans, health care, advocacy, customer engagement, and regulatory compliance.
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation of records, billing, and program information.
  • Assist with program planning and monitoring of individual plans across all shifts.
  • Conduct routine progress meetings and comply with licensing requirements.
  • Manage physical environment and safety of the program area.
  • Assist with personnel functions: recruitment, hiring, scheduling, training, performance evaluation, discipline, and employee safety.
  • Coordinate billing, utilization, census capture, and financial management for the program.
Essential Job Functions
  • Direct Support:
    Provide support to individuals while maintaining accurate records.
  • Records:
    Document and review individual records, billing, and other program documentation daily.
  • Program Planning:
    Assist in development and implementation of individual program plans.
  • Team Meetings:
    Attend and assist with routine progress meetings.
  • Compliance:
    Maintain licensing compliance and implement Sevita compliance plan.
  • Management of Individuals’ Assets:
    Safeguard and reconcile individuals’ financial accounts monthly.
  • Incidents:
    Document incident reports and submit initial reports to the Program Director.
  • Billing and Utilization:
    Compile census or attendance information, review data for accuracy, and submit billing data to the appropriate authority.
Health Care
  • General Health Care:
    Monitor health, document, and implement preventive strategies.
  • Appointments:
    Schedule, assist with, and document health care appointments.
  • Medications:
    Accurately administer or support self‑administration of medications and document delivery.
  • Medical Supplies and Equipment:
    Purchase and maintain supplies and equipment with Program Director oversight.
  • Dietary Planning:
    Develop menus, purchase food, and monitor food service according to individual plans.
Stakeholder Relations
  • Communications:
    Maintain professional relations with individuals, families, case managers, and other stakeholders.
  • Customer Service:
    Train DSPs in Sevita Customer Service Standards.
Personnel
  • Recruitment and Hiring:
    Assist with recruitment and interview DSPs in consultation with the Area Director.
  • Employee Scheduling:
    Maintain shift coverage and minimize overtime.
  • Training:
    Provide onboarding, orientation, and ongoing training for staff.
  • Evaluation:
    Conduct annual performance evaluations for DSPs.
  • Discipline and Termination:
    Coach staff and consult the Program Director on disciplinary matters.
  • Employee Safety:
    Implement and monitor safety standards and workers’ compensation compliance.
Financial Management
  • Purchasing:
    Purchase supplies and monitor spending.
  • Individual Funds Management:
    Safeguard and manage individuals’ funds and update ledgers.
  • Billing and Utilization:
    Review census and attendance documentation for accurate billing.
  • Staffing:
    Monitor staffing hours for budgetary compliance.
Census Management
  • Census Capture:
    Capture daily census within systems.
  • Census Performance:
    Understand census measurement and performance.
  • Placements:
    Support location preparation for placements.
Maintenance
  • Vehicles:
    Maintain vehicle safety and routine maintenance.
  • Living Environment:
    Schedule and monitor housekeeping and yard care.
