Job Summary

The Surgical Technologist scrubs for surgical procedures, maintains a sterile field, prepares supplies, instruments, and equipment, and supports quality improvement activities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare surgical supplies, instruments and equipment before, during, and after procedures.
• Maintain a sterile field and ensure compliance with aseptic techniques.
• Assist the surgical team during all stages of surgery.
• Support quality improvement initiatives and adhere to center policies.
• Collaborate effectively with staff, engage patients, and coordinate with physicians.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED; completion of a Surgical Technician Program and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Certification required by state and/or center.
• Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and surgical patient management.
• Understanding of aseptic techniques and implementation.
• Adaptability to changing patient conditions.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
