Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Golf Club Manager to oversee the daily operations of Prescott Golf Club. The ideal candidate will ensure exceptional member and guest experience, manage staff effectively, and maintain our facility to the highest standards.

The Golf Club Manager/Golf Professional is responsible for overseeing all club operations, including the golf course operations, ensuring exceptional member and guest experience, and maintaining the highest standards of course presentation, service, and professionalism. This role blends operational leadership with golf expertise, requiring a hands‑on manager who can lead staff, drive revenue, and cultivate a welcoming, service‑oriented culture.

Experience

Required Qualifications
  • PGA or LPGA Class A membership preferred (or actively pursuing).
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in golf operations or club management.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Proven ability to manage staff, budgets, and multiple operational priorities.
  • Knowledge of golf instruction, tournament administration, and retail merchandising.
  • Proficiency with golf management software, POS systems, EZ Links/EZ Suite and Microsoft Office.
Essential Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities Golf Club Operations Management
  • Oversee daily club and golf operations, including oversight of food & beverage, tee sheet management, pace of play, cart fleet, practice facilities, and tournament execution.
  • Maintain a visible presence throughout the club to engage members and guests, support staff, and ensure smooth operations.
  • Develop and enforce policies, procedures, and service standards that enhance the member and guest experience.
  • Coordinate with F&B, maintenance, and administrative teams to ensure seamless operations.
  • Developing strategic plans to improve services and increase revenue
  • Managing budgets and overseeing financial performance
Staff Leadership & Training
  • Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise golf shop staff, outside services, starters, rangers, and other key personnel.
  • Foster a positive, team‑oriented environment with clear expectations and accountability.
  • Conduct regular staff meetings and ongoing training to ensure consistent service delivery.
Member & Guest Experience
  • Build strong relationships with members, guests, and community partners.
  • Address concerns or feedback promptly and professionally.
  • Create a welcoming environment that reflects the club's culture and values.
Merchandising & Retail
  • Manage golf shop operations, including buying, inventory control, merchandising, and sales strategies.
  • Maintain attractive, well‑organized retail displays aligned with current trends and member preferences.
Instruction & Player Development
  • Provide private lessons, group clinics, junior programs, and player development initiatives.
  • Promote the game of golf through creative programming and engagement opportunities.
Tournament & Event Management
  • Plan, market, organize, and execute tournaments, leagues, and special events.
  • Coordinate with F&B, maintenance, and administrative teams to ensure seamless event delivery.
  • Produce professional‑quality scoreboards, pairings, rules sheets, and communications.
Financial & Administrative Responsibilities
  • Assist in preparing and managing the annual club operations budget.
  • Monitor revenue streams including green fees, memberships, retail sales, and instruction.
  • Ensure accurate reporting, inventory management, and compliance with club policies.
Course & Facility Coordination
  • Work closely with the Superintendent to maintain course conditions, manage playability issues, and coordinate maintenance schedules.
  • Oversee practice facility standards, signage, and overall presentation.
Marketing
  • In conjunction with the Marketing, Membership and Visitor subcommittees, initiate and deliver activities to attract new members and to increase the number of visitors in line with the Club Business Plan.
  • Manage the Club website and ensure that it provides up-to-date, relevant and interesting content for members and visitors.
