• Administer medication and perform treatments as ordered by the physician and within the scope of your license. This includes a variety of forms such as oral, enteral, parenteral, suppository, and treatments like sterile wound cleaning, tracheostomy care, and more.
• Observe and report the effectiveness of medications and treatments.
• Ensure an adequate amount of supplies and medication are available.
• Communicate effectively with residents, their families, and the interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care.
• Complete initial admission nursing assessments and assist with the development of care plans.
• Participate in shift reports and maintain clinical and administrative documentation.
• Engage in our Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) program.

Work 12-hour night shifts from 6:00 pm to 6:30 am, totaling 38-48 hours per week. A detailed schedule will be provided upon hiring.

• Understanding of gerontological/geriatric nursing theory and practice.
• Familiarity with the effects of the aging process and team nursing practices.
• Knowledge of pharmacology and the legal aspects of nursing practices.
• Strong skills in observing, reporting, and assisting in developing patient care plans.
• Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to abide by nursing regulations and respond to medical emergencies.
• Capability to evaluate, analyze, and make independent decisions regarding client health problems.
• Skill in establishing and maintaining effective work relationships.
