American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN for a Level I trauma center with weekend and call requirements, requiring 2+ years of OR experience across multiple specialties.

• Level I trauma center OR with 11 rooms handling high-volume ortho, trauma, and spine cases, plus all other specialties with minimal pediatrics
• 1:1 patient ratios
• 3x12 day/mid shifts, 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM
• Weekend work required
• On-call required: up to 8 weekday shifts and up to 9 (12-hour) weekend call shifts (Friday/Saturday/Sunday) within a 13-week period, with 30-minute recall
• No floating required
• Uses Cerner for charting

• Active, unrestricted AZ RN license or valid compact license required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of OR nursing experience required
• Experience in general, ortho, spine, trauma, and neuro (specifically craniotomies) required
• Level I trauma center experience required, though highly skilled clinicians with recent Level II trauma experience in a like-size or larger facility will be considered

• Teaching hospital with Level I trauma designation and 268 staffed beds
• Scrubs are provided for OR RNs
• Adherence to facility quality and patient safety standards, including medication administration (BCMA), is expected
• Blocked scheduling is not guaranteed but the unit will do its best to accommodate requests
• RTO requests require unit manager approval
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
