Travel RN - Emergency Dept

American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for an Emergency Department role at a Level I trauma teaching hospital, requiring 3+ years of ED experience and AZ or compact RN licensure.

• Active, unrestricted AZ RN license or valid compact license required
• Minimum 3 years of ED experience required
• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS certifications required
• TNCC certification preferred
• Level I and Level II Trauma experience required
• Cerner charting experience required
• First-time travelers accepted with 5+ years of ED experience
• Travel pairs not accepted for this position

• Emergency Department setting at a Level I trauma, teaching hospital with 268 staffed beds
• Typical patient ratio of 4:1 based on acuity
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours (19:00-07:00)
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• No floating required
• Cerner EMR used for charting
• BCMA medication administration standards followed
• Provide emergency care across pediatric and adult populations including trauma, cardiac, respiratory, neurological, and psychiatric cases
• Experience with IV therapy, central line care, and arterial line management utilized
• Skilled in managing ventilated patients, BiPAP/CPAP, and chest tube care preferred
• Knowledge of stroke and STEMI protocols beneficial
• Any scrub color permitted

• RTO requires unit manager approval and may be limited during the first week due to orientation
• Local candidates accepted
• Previous Northern Arizona Healthcare staff must have a 12-month separation before returning as a traveler
• Candidates must be comfortable floating without restriction if required by facility needs
