About the Club: Opened in 2004, Pine Canyon is an exclusive luxury residential golf community nestled in the scenic mountain landscape of Flagstaff, Arizona. Designed with hospitality at its core, Pine Canyon offers a tranquil retreat where members and homeowners can unwind and enjoy their own mountain getaway. The club features 350 full "Summit" golf members and over 100 "Alpine" social members, fostering an engaged and active community not just during the peak summer months, but year-round.

At the heart of Pine Canyon is its signature championship golf course, designed by renowned architect Jay Morrish. This par‑72 course, measuring 7,272 yards, takes full advantage of the property's stunning panoramic views of the San Francisco Peaks. Morrish expertly integrated the natural topography into the design, with dramatic elevation changes, winding fairways, and towering Ponderosa pines. Water features—including picturesque ponds and trout‑stocked lakes—are strategically placed throughout the course, adding both beauty and challenge.

Recent course enhancements include a full irrigation system replacement, refined bunkers and tee boxes, and updates to the 7th and 18th greens, ensuring the course remains in peak condition for members to enjoy. Pine Canyon is owned and developed by Symmetry Companies, a Scottsdale-based leader in luxury residential communities, and managed by Troon Golf, the largest club management company in the world.

Together, they ensure that every aspect of the Pine Canyon experience reflects the highest standards of excellence.

The Seasonal Assistant Golf Professional is responsible for the success and viability of the Golf Operation. The right candidate will have a focus on delivering exceptional hospitality to our Members & Guests, day in and day out.

Candidates must be highly motivated, hard-working and team players and will have a hospitality‑first mindset. They must also possess excellent organizational and communication skills, and a strong attention to detail.

Qualifications:

Education & Background

• Minimum of two years' experience at a high-end private club of similar size and stature preferred.
• A bachelor's degree from a four-year university or college is preferred, but not required.
• A member of the PGA of America in good standing, or actively working towards PGA membership.

Job Duties:

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Support the day-to-day execution of golf operations to ensure a smooth and efficient member and guest experience.
• Provide high-level customer service that meets and exceeds the Pine Canyon standards of excellence.
• Help supervise outside services and golf operations staff, modeling Pine Canyon's standards of excellence.
• Perform starter duties, including tee time management, player coordination, and clear communication of course information.
• Support pace‑of‑play initiatives through active monitoring and engagement with players.
• Support execution of the tournament program, including cart staging, range preparation, and event setup.
