Grade B Point 1 - 3 subject to experience

We are looking to appoint a caring, enthusiastic and dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join our friendly team. This rewarding role combines supporting children in the classroom with helping to create a positive, safe and enjoyable lunchtime experience. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and support staff to help pupils achieve their full potential academically, socially and emotionally.

The Role As a Learning Support Assistant, you will:

Support children's learning in class, in small groups and on a one-to-one basis.

Help teachers to deliver engaging and inclusive lessons.

Encourage children's independence, confidence and resilience.

Support children with a range of learning, behavioural and emotional needs.

Enjoys working with children and helping them succeed.

Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Is patient, caring and reliable.

Can build positive relationships with pupils, staff and families.

Has high expectations of behaviour and conduct.

Works well as part of a team but can also use initiative.

Previous experience working with children is desirable, though enthusiasm, commitment and a willingness to learn are equally important.
