We're hiring a Senior EICA Design Engineer to lead electrical, ICA, control and automation design on water and wastewater projects. You'll take ownership of EICA deliverables across feasibility, outline and detailed design, acting as the technical lead for integrated solutions and providing clear guidance to engineers, clients and suppliers.
What you'll be doing
Lead EICA design deliverables to required client, statutory and industry standards
Produce/review drawings, specs, schedules, calculations, load assessments and control philosophies
Deliver LV distribution, MCC and ICA solutions; instrumentation specification and integration with treatment processes
Review supplier/subcontractor designs, identifying risks/opportunities and improving outcomes
Run/support client design reviews, workshops and technical meetings to secure approvals
Complete design risk assessments (CDM), ensuring safe, operable, maintainable, whole-life cost-effective designs
Mentor junior engineers and help improve internal standards, workflows and best practice
Support tender/quote reviews with technical input for commercial assessments
What you'll need
Significant EICA design experience in UK water/wastewater infrastructure (feasibility to detailed design)
Degree (or equivalent) in Electrical, Control, Automation or similar; CEng/IEng (IET) or working towards preferred
Strong knowledge of LV distribution, MCCs, ICA systems, control strategies and instrumentation
Able to produce high-quality schematics, datasheets, calculations and technical documentation
Proficient with AutoCAD and common water-sector design tools (BIM 360 beneficial)
Confident communicator; organised, delivery-focused and able to prioritise across multiple projects
Working pattern
Based from Fleet with a mix of office, hybrid and site work. Regular site visits across London and the South of England.
