Package: Up to £105,000 per year (Salary + Car Allowance + Bonus)

We are seeking a Head of Fleet to lead vehicle and trailer operations, driving fleet strategy, compliance, sustainability, and cost efficiency. This senior hands‑on role will oversee maintenance, supplier performance, and continuous improvement across the business.

• Lead and deliver the fleet strategy to support business growth
• Drive the transition to electric and alternative-fuel vehicles
• Oversee vehicle and trailer maintenance, ensuring safety and compliance
• Manage total cost) across the fleetn
• Monitor performance and identify cost‑saving opportunities without compromising service
• Build strong relationships with OEMs and maintenance suppliers
• Use telematics and fleet systems to analyse performance and drive improvements
• Lead projects, implement policies, and maintain fleet documentation
• Develop and manage the fleet team, including performance reviews and coaching
Requirements Essential
• HGV Repair & Maintenance qualification
• Strong knowledge of UK transport legislation, compliance, and safety standards
• Commercial and financial awareness
• Understanding of alternative vehicle technologies
• Experience delivering strategic plans and budgets
• Proven leadership and team engagement skills
• Willingness to travel, including overnight stays
