We are searching for candidates with experience in communications and engagement to help inspire communities to take positive action on climate change and sustainability.
This role could also suit an experienced engagement professional seeking a part-time opportunity with a particular focus on community engagement.
You’ll develop and deliver engaging communications and community initiatives that make complex environmental issues accessible, relevant and actionable. Key responsibilities:
Develop and deliver an integrated communications and public engagement strategy.
Engage residents, community groups, schools and partner organisations through campaigns, events and local initiatives.
Create clear, compelling content for digital channels, social media, websites, newsletters and printed materials.
Plan and deliver campaigns that encourage participation and positive behaviour change.
Build strong relationships with community organisations, volunteers and external stakeholders.
Lead engagement activities including sustainability events, climate initiatives and educational programmes.
Develop and promote volunteering and community-led opportunities.
Translate complex climate and sustainability information into accessible, engaging public communications.
