On the 1 April 2015 Humberside Police and Humberside Fire and Rescue Services transferred the provision of vehicle and operational equipment maintenance and fleet management services to their joint venture company Emergency Services Fleet Management (Humberside) Limited based at Melton, East Yorkshire, and this is an exciting opportunity to work within this single service function.
The vehicle and equipment workshop collaboration are a great example of how the emergency services in the Humber area can work together to provide a state‑of‑the‑art facility at a much lower cost. Local blue light services are proving that together they can provide a great service to the public even in the face of severe financial pressure. This is a real example of true partnership working of which we are committed to its absolute success.
