Overview
Mid Level Automotive Technician - Flemington, NJ at The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company
Responsibilities- Gain hands-on experience in one of Goodyear's Auto Service centers by utilizing mechanical aptitude to diagnose technical issues while delivering outstanding service.
- Perform line technician services, routine inspections/maintenance, system diagnostics, brake repairs, fluid exchanges/flushes, tire installation, and wheel alignments.
- Provide excellent guest service with clear communication and feedback about guest vehicles; document all work performed on the repair order.
- Report safety issues to management and promote teamwork to deliver timely, accurate guest care during all operating hours.
- Maintain adherence to Company policy on vehicle care and operation; participate in training for technician, sales, and management positions.
- Engage in ongoing learning about evolving automotive technologies and contribute to fast-track career advancement opportunities.
- Minimum 1 year of automotive experience including brake repairs, fluid flushes, and preventative maintenance.
- Valid driver's license and be at least 18 years of age; legally authorized to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship now or in the future.
- Commitment to learning new technologies; ability to review, analyze, and interpret information, identify problems, and make decisions.
- High School Diploma or GED preferred; ASE Certification.
- Experience diagnosing vehicles and performing road tests; experience with electrical, air conditioning, and primary/advanced fuel ignition.
