About the Role
Norwescap is seeking a dedicated bilingual (English/Spanish) Computer Instructor to lead foundational digital skills and workforce readiness instruction across multiple initiatives. The instructor will provide in-person and hybrid instruction to adult learners, primarily Displaced Homemakers and Work First NJ participants. The position requires travel throughout Warren, Somerset, Hunterdon, Morris, and Sussex counties. Office space is available in Hunterdon, Somerset, Warren, Sussex, and Morris.
Responsibilities- Facilitate digital skills training across multiple Norwescap workforce development programs to build core competencies in foundational technical skills, Microsoft Office/Google Workspace, cybersecurity, digital communications, and job readiness tools.
- Maintain updated course materials that are labor-informed and responsive to digital trends and participant needs.
- Track participant progress, attendance, and skill development through comprehensive pre- and post-assessments.
- Achieve metrics and outcomes as outlined by contractual mandates and accurately enter into appropriate internal and external databases.
- Cultivate an inclusive and culturally responsive classroom environment.
- Lead communication regarding schedule changes or disruptions to program participants and staff.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred; a combination of relevant education and experience will be considered.
- At least 5 years of experience using and teaching Microsoft Office 365 applications.
- Experience in adult education, workforce development, or community training programs highly preferred.
- Bilingual proficiency (English and Spanish) strongly preferred.
- Previous teaching experience in a college, adult education, or workforce training setting required.
- Experience working as an instructor in nonprofit or community-based organizations preferred.
