Lead Water Mitigation Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Crew Chief to lead and coordinate land surveying and civil engineering projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in GIS, CAD, and surveying technologies, with the ability to manage field crews and ensure project accuracy and efficiency.

This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects, including ALTA surveys, construction staking, and data collection, utilizing advanced tools such as 3D scanners, GPS, and Micro Station. The Crew Chief will play a pivotal role in maintaining high standards of quality and safety on-site while guiding team members through complex tasks.

* Duties
* * Lead survey crews in the execution of land surveying projects, including land boundaries, topographic surveys, and construction staking.

* Oversee data collection using GPS equipment, Trimble systems, and 3D scanners to ensure precise measurements.

* Prepare detailed schematics, AutoCAD drawings, Civil 3D models, Revit files, and Land Surveying plans.

* Utilize GIS software such as ArcGIS and Carlson to analyze spatial data for project planning and execution.

* Conduct ALTA surveys and coordinate with clients to meet project specifications.

* Supervise field operations involving GPS/GIS data collection, microstation drafting, and schematic development.

* Ensure all work complies with safety standards and project deadlines while maintaining quality control.

* Assist in training team members on the use of CAD software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D), GPS equipment, and surveying techniques.

* Collaborate with engineers and project managers to interpret schematics and design drawings for accurate implementation.

* Qualifications
* * Proven experience in civil engineering surveying or construction projects with a strong background in land surveying techniques.

* Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Micro Station, Revit, and Carlson.

* Knowledge of GIS platforms including ArcGIS and GPS/GIS data collection tools like Trimble systems.

* Familiarity with 3D scanners, laser scanning technology, and data processing workflows.

* Strong understanding of geometry, trigonometry, algebra, and math principles relevant to land surveying.

* Experience with schematics development for construction or land development projects.

* Ability to interpret technical drawings including ALTA surveys and construction schematics.

* Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage field teams effectively.

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
