Position Summary

Provides for the proper and safe movement of supplies and equipment and ensures accurate inventory levels of medical supplies to storage locations. Ensures proper receipt and delivery of all supplies and equipment to Surgical Services

Primary Position Responsibilities

Ensures inventory locations are adequately stocked and organized daily using electronic scanners based on item PAR levels.

Generates requisition pick tickets using Material Management computer system and accurately counts and pulls storeroom inventory to replenish inventory locations. Take all stock and not stock items to the operating room morning and afternoon.

Scans all locations including (mesh carts, suture room, core, anesthesia)

Verifies expiration dates of all stored supplies and removes outdated supplies from assigned PAR location carts and units.

Communicates backordered products to the appropriate procurement staff as well as the Surgical Services team.

Communicates with appropriate procurement staff on orders not received.

Completes needed case tote order by 11AM daily.

Minimum Education

Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent

Preferred: None

Minimum Years of Experience (Amount, Type and Variation)

Required: 1-2 years supply management in a healthcare setting or equivalent

Preferred: Demonstrated steady work experience in high volume, high stress environment. Strong customer service skills and strong problem solving skills

License, Registry or Certification

Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities

Required: Windows based computer applications, communication skills
