Occupational Therapist, Outpatient

Position Summary

To administer occupational therapy evaluations and treatments according to established standard of occupational therapy, and physician’s referral and occupational therapy plan of care.

• Evaluates all patients identifying the patient's primary problems and develops a treatment plan.
• Performs and modifies/updates patient treatment programs to maximize patient outcomes.
• Documents information to assure continuity of care and maximize reimbursement.
• Maintains schedule to attain productivity standards.
• Provides supervision to COTA, OT/COTA students, various levels of supportive personnel and volunteers.

• Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy
• Preferred: Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy

• Preferred: 2 years experience in hand therapy

• Required: Current New Jersey State Occupational Therapy License
• Preferred: Certified Hand Therapist

• Required: Excellent customer service skills, written and verbal communications skills
• Preferred: Knowledge gained from 2 or more years experience in hand therapy, CHT
