Position SummaryThe Clinical Operations Manager will oversee the clinical staff within the medical group. Responsibilities include leading clinical education programs, including orientation and competency assessments, as well as managing clinical workflows and quality improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate is an RN with significant clinical experience and a passion for teaching, team leadership, and improving patient care outcomes.
Primary Position Responsibilities- Provide direct oversight, education, and leadership to clinical staff including Registered Nurses (RNs), Certified Medical Assistants (CMAs), and other allied health professionals, serving as a liaison between staff and leadership.
- Ensure adherence to clinical protocols, workflows, healthcare regulations, including state and federal laws, accrediting bodies and internal policies in daily operations related to clinical practice.
- Provide guidance and support in handling clinical challenges, patient care situations, and staff concerns.
- Develop, implement, and maintain a structured competency program to evaluate and validate the clinical skills of staff.
- In collaboration with HR oversee the orientation process for new clinical staff and annual competencies/performance reviews.
- Analyze current clinical workflows, collaborate with stakeholders and make recommendations for process improvements.
- Lead quality improvement initiatives within clinical departments, monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Participate in regular leadership meetings, providing input on staffing needs, training requirements, and process improvements.
- Collaborate with other clinical departments and community partners to ensure integrated care and optimal patient outcomes.
Minimum Education: Bachelor’s Degree, Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Preferred Education: Master’s Degree, Master of Science in Nursing (MSN)
Required Experience: Minimum 3‑5 years clinical nursing experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership, supervisory, or educational role.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience in outpatient or ambulatory care settings.
- Proven experience developing and implementing clinical education programs, staff orientation, and competency assessments.
- Experience with quality improvement initiatives and process development in healthcare settings.
Required: Registered Nurse (RN) with an active, unrestricted license in the state of New Jersey.
Preferred: None.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to foster teamwork and collaboration among multidisciplinary teams.
- Proficient in using electronic health records (EHR) systems and other healthcare management software.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and clinical best practices.
- Ability to analyze and improve clinical workflows and operational processes.
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of patient care and continuous professional development.
