Position: Program Coordinator for Literacy Growth
Join Strong Start as the Regional Program Coordinator for the Letters, Sounds and Words™ Program in Ontario East. This part-time role emphasizes community engagement and early literacy initiatives.

In this impactful position, you will oversee the implementation and expansion of Strong Start's literacy program across several Ontario East communities. Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships with educators, community partners, and philanthropists are essential. You will support school board collaboration, fund development efforts, and public speaking engagements to promote literacy success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop partnerships with School Boards

• Coordinate new program site launches

• Provide ongoing support to Site Coordinators

• Assist with recruitment of Volunteer Coach Trainers

• Maintain accurate program documentation

Requirements:

• Undergraduate degree in English, Psychology, or Literacy Studies

• Experience in early childhood education

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Proficient with Microsoft Office 365

• Reliable car for community travel
