Job Summary
Maintenance Engineer – Contract (estimated duration until about October).
Role Details- Hours:
8am-4pm, with occasional cover for 2-10pm shift. - Location:
Flint area; commutable from South Wirral, Deeside, Wrexham, Chester, Holywell. - Salary: £20-30/hr, PAYE + Holidays.
- Sector:
Manufacturing – various machines.
- Maintain engineering stores & parts.
- Work on preventive maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance.
- Manage own workloads and work closely with other engineers.
- Support continual improvement of the PM system.
- Apprentice trained in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (ideally HNC level).
- Strong manufacturing background in reactive & PPM work.
- Solid all-round mechanical engineering experience (bearings, shafts, rollers, pneumatics, production machinery).
- Electrical fault finding skills.
- Experience with equipment: check weighers, flow wrappers, metal detectors, conveyors & cutting machinery.
- Contract position for a few months.
- Possibility of occasional evening shift coverage.
