General Statement of Duties
This position is responsible for effectively managing and processing the Airport’s accounts payable. Core responsibilities include posting entries, verifying and reconciling inputs to the financial reporting system, processing payments, preparing billings and deposits, and assisting in the preparation of financial reports. The role also performs various clerical duties.
Supervision ReceivedUnder the general supervision of the Chief Financial Officer and the direct supervision of the Finance Manager, who assigns work and checks for completeness and accuracy.
Statement of Duties- Working knowledge of bookkeeping principles to routine accounting transactions.
- Ability to maintain and keep clerical records and prepare schedules from such records.
- Working knowledge of office practices, procedures, and equipment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook; experience with accounting software such as Sage is a plus.
- Ability to deal with the public tactfully and courteously.
- Rapid and accurate routine mathematical computations.
- Proficient development and use of Excel spreadsheets and formulas.
- Very high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to learn complex tasks quickly.
- Verify the work of others and express findings clearly and concisely.
- Clear communication with customers, airport staff, vendors, and visitors.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a wide range of people.
- Flexibility and change job priorities at a moment's notice.
- Sense of urgency to organize and prioritize work for the Airport's benefit.
Minimum two (2) year college degree with some accounting coursework required and at least two (2) years of experience in bookkeeping or related clerical work, including the maintenance of financial records, ledgers, and transactions, or equivalent.
Working ConditionsThe work is frequently performed in an office environment with occasional exposure to other areas of the airport. The employee frequently sits at a desk using a computer or phone, types, and handles office equipment. Occasionally stands, walks, talks or hears. Occasionally lifts, pushes, pulls, or moves objects weighing up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
CompensationSet by Union Contract (2026 Range: $54k to $59k).
