• High School Diploma (LPN/CNA preferred)
• Current First Aid and CPR certification
• Good communication skills
• Ability to work with students in a classroom setting
• Ability to follow procedures for administering medication and providing care, including diabetes management, insulin injections, tube feeding, toileting, transferring and lifting students, suctioning, emergency response, and catheterization
• Maintain records and perform clerical work
• Attend continuing education classes as needed
• Maintain confidentiality in all health matters
• Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisor

• Assist the school nurse in the operation of the school health services
• Follow procedures for medication administration and student care
• Maintain accurate records
• Communicate effectively with school personnel, parents, and students
• Attend required training and continuing education
• Perform additional tasks within the scope of the position as assigned

The workday will be established by the supervisor, not exceeding 7.5 hours per day, including a 30-minute lunch break unless otherwise arranged. Workdays of 6 hours or less will not have a scheduled lunch period.

Hourly Rate: $14.00
