What We’re Looking For in a Highly Qualified Candidate:
  • Strong content knowledge in middle school mathematics, including pre-algebra and algebra concepts
  • Ability to make math engaging and relevant through real-world applications and inquiry-based learning
  • Use of formative assessments to monitor progress and adjust instruction
  • Skill in building math confidence and persistence in all learners
  • Strong classroom management skills and ability to create a safe space for math risk-taking
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in education or related field (Master’s preferred)
  • Valid Michigan teaching certification or ability to obtain one
  • Previous classroom experience at the middle school level strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated commitment to student achievement, equity, and growth
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills

Salary Range: Starting at $50,000 (negotiable based on experience). Pay increases based on experience.

Starting Date:  School Year

Retirement: 401K with 4% contribution and 4% match by the school
