• Strong content knowledge in middle school mathematics, including pre‑algebra and algebra concepts.
• Ability to make math engaging and relevant through real‑world applications and inquiry‑based learning.
• Consistent use of formative assessments to monitor progress and adjust instruction.
• Skilled in building math confidence and persistence in all learners.
• Strong classroom management and the ability to create a safe space for math risk‑taking.

• Bachelor’s degree in education or related field.
• Valid Michigan teaching certification or the ability to obtain one.
• Previous classroom experience at the middle school level strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated commitment to student achievement, equity, and growth.
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.

Salary Range:
Starting pay $50,000.00 (negotiable); pay increases based on experience.

Retirement: 401K with 4% and another 4% matching by the school.
