About the OpportunityUnder the direction of the FSPA Director, the Dance Class Instructor provides instruction for children K-8 for FSPA’s partnership with the Flint Cultural Center Academy. Class instruction is held Monday through Friday, 9:35‑10:25 AM. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with drive and ambition to make a larger impact within the community through the performing arts.
Responsibilities- Teach classes using the FSPA curriculum and in collaboration with the FCCA Liaison and other faculty.
- Attend required FSPA or FCCA meetings, trainings, and professional development sessions.
- Work with staff, students, families, and stakeholders with diverse and wide‑ranging cultural, social, and economic backgrounds.
- Communicate regularly with the FSPA/FCCA Liaison, Program Director, and staff to ensure that student and program needs are met.
- Additional duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in the field and related teaching experience preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Strong verbal, written, and computer skills.
- Competitive pay of $42.45 per hour with a $21.38 per hour admin rate.
- 401(k) eligible.
- Non‑exempt.
