Position: APPRAISER I, II, III (EQUALIZATION)

Overview

JOB SUMMARY:

Performs difficult and technical work in the appraisal of real and/or personal property; works under the general supervision of the Director; performs related duties as required.

Appraiser I

Starting Pay: $18.2471 Hourly ($37,954)
Step A: $18.7947 Hourly ($39,093)
Step B: $19.3582 Hourly ($40,265)

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Michigan Certified Assessing Technician (MCAT);

Must successfully complete a Michigan Certified Assessing Officer (MCAO) certificate within two (2) years of holding position. Failure to successfully complete the MCAO certificate will result in a layoff.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

Must possess a valid Michigan driver s license.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Starting Pay: $27.0476 Hourly ($56,259)
Step A: $27.8827 Hourly ($57,996)
Step B: $28.7529 Hourly ($59,806)

  • Verify leased equipment and prevent duplicate appraisals
  • Determine valuations using state-approved manuals and reports
