The Behavioral Specialist is a key associate at Hope Network whose primary responsibilities include developing, coordinating, and implementing behavioral assessments and positive behavioral support plans & programming, arranging and providing psychological assessments and testing, and providing training and supervision of Behavior Management Plans for the direct care workforce, case managers, and persons served.

- Provide environmental & behavioral analysis for persons served in residential or community housing program.
- Attend Person Centered Planning (PCP) meetings as the Behavioral Specialist.
- Develop and manage comprehensive behavioral approaches for individuals in residential/community housing programs to promote mental wellness, reduce mental health/behavioral issues, develop new skills for effective functioning, and provide workforce with consistent, positive approaches.
- Train residential/community housing workforce in implementation and documentation of behavior programs.
- Provide periodic monitoring of Behavior Treatment Plan goals including behavioral programs.
- Liaise with Behavioral Management Committee (BMC) of persons served referring agency.
- Act as liaison coordinating services among providers of services and referral sources.

- Act as a positive role model and coach for others.
- Master’s degree from an accredited university or institution of higher learning in psychology - required
- Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) - preferred
- Licensed or Limited Licensed as a Psychologist in the State of Michigan - required
- Prior employment experience in a human services area including behavioral analysis and programming experience
- Clinical experience providing treatment to adults with behavioral health and developmental disabilities
- Clinical experience in individual, family and group therapy settings
- Clinical experience in residential/community housing programs for individuals with developmental disabilities and severe behavioral disorders
- Valid Michigan Driver’s License - required
