Bio Life Plasma Center Paramedic – EMT-P
Bio Life Plasma Services (a subsidiary of Takeda Pharmaceutical Company Ltd.) is seeking a dedicated Plasma Center Paramedic – EMT-P to support plasma collection operations. The role reports to the Plasma Center Manager and, as needed, to the Center Physician.
Responsibilities- Determine donor eligibility including informed consent, medical history interview, physical examination, blood testing, and review of Serological Protein Electrophoresis (SPE).
- Manage donor adverse events, evaluate donor reactions per SOPs, and coordinate with the Center Physician or Medical Affairs for medical emergencies.
- Notify donors of unsuitable test results and provide guidance on medical or technical issues.
- Support hepatitis B and seasonal flu vaccination programs for employees.
- Handle employee incidents, refer to EHS guidance, and support investigations related to pandemic threats when authorized.
- High school diploma or higher, including graduation from a recognized nursing program with state requirements.
- Current EMT-Paramedic license in the state of assignment.
- Current CPR and AED certification.
- State‑compliant basic IV therapy certification.
- Completion of FDA‑approved training for Bio Life Medical Support Specialist.
- Minimum two years of experience in a clinical or hospital setting.
