We are looking for talented and high‑motivated individuals who demonstrate a natural desire to support the meaningful work of community oncologists and the patients we serve.

Dispense prescription drugs to patients and assist in the preparation and charging of medications and supplies under the supervision of the pharmacist. Provide quality patient care and excellent customer service. Process, enter and interpret physician orders focusing on either infusion pharmacy or specialty retail pharmacy. Follow departmental procedures with regard to inventory control, claims submission and other administrative tasks.

• Experience:
  
  Retail pharmacy and/or infusion pharmacy, claim reconciliation or accounting background helpful.

• Typical duties involve infusion or retail pharmacy work, including inputting customer and prescription data into the pharmacy computer system.
• Creating prescription labels, accurately retrieving medication for dispensing, and placing medication into prescription containers under pharmacist supervision.
• Ensuring excellent customer service in the Retail Pharmacy department.
• Maintaining inventory control and accurate handling of pharmaceuticals, packing slips and invoices.
• Handling telephone inquiries and resolving issues and complaints promptly.
• Ensuring claims are properly filed in the QS‑1 NRx environment.
• Entering customer purchases into the Point‑of‑Sale system and accepting telephone prescriptions and refills from physician offices and written prescriptions from patients.
• Completing paperwork related to filling prescriptions.
• Using aseptic technique to accurately prepare Compounded Sterile Products (CSP), including anticancer chemotherapeutic medications under direct or indirect pharmacist supervision.
• Ensuring safety of all patients and personnel by following CHC protocols and NIOSH/OSHA guidelines for preparation, delivery and disposal of cytotoxic agents.
• Entering physician orders correctly, checking patient profiles, allergies, duplicate therapies and drug interactions for pharmacist or other qualified professional review.
• Precisely charging and crediting patients, nursing units and other facilities for medications dispensed from Pharmacy.
• Monitoring and maintaining drug inventories (including controlled substances, research, indigent and sample inventories) and associated logs.
• Performing all other duties assigned.
