Works under supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. Assists patients in achieving and restoring strength, endurance and coordination through a therapeutic program. Follows designated treatment protocol in application of all therapeutic modalities.
- Possess Associates Degree in accredited Physical Therapist Assistant Program.
- Possess 1-3 months of related job experience.
- Valid PTA licensure for the State of Michigan.
- Trained and educated in age-specific categories being served: infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric.
- Capable of spending 25-35% of time lifting, carrying, and moving items that weigh 25 pounds or more.
- Ability to effectively communicate and present self to people in courteous, tactful and poised manner.
