Patient Services Representative

The McLaren system includes 12 hospitals across the state, ambulatory surgery centers, imaging centers, a 730-member employed primary and specialty care physician network, commercial and Medicaid HMOs covering more than 242,000 Michigan lives, home health, infusion and hospice providers, pharmacy services, a clinical laboratory network, and a wholly owned medical malpractice insurance company. McLaren operates Michigan’s largest network of cancer centers and providers, anchored by the Karmanos Cancer Institute, a National Cancer Institute-designated comprehensive cancer center.

McLaren has 20,000 full-, part-time and contracted employees and more than 93,000 network providers throughout Michigan.

- 5:00 p.m. variable

Scheduled Hours per Pay: 80

Position Summary

Provides clerical support to the Mid-Michigan Professional Recovery Program in a customer friendly and professional manner.

Provides program information to new clients.

Performs registration, posts charges and processes related information.

Assists therapist with activities to enhance the program.

Qualifications:

Required:

• High School diploma or equivalent.
  
  Related courses preferred.
• Possess one yearof related experience.
• Ability to effectively communicate and present self to people in a courteous,tactful, and poised manner.
• Familiar with andability to use various software packages to include word processing and spreadsheet.
• Demonstrates the successful judgment and ability to understand, react effectively and treat(if appropriate) the unique needs of patient age groups served:
  
  Adult & geriatric.
