Production Welder

Cardinal Staffing is looking for MIG Welders for a manufacturing facility in Flint, MI.

We are currently seeking entry‑level MIG Welders who are responsible for fitting and welding structural steel components according to blueprints and specifications. Weld Test is required.

Pay:1st Shift: $18.70/hr2nd shift: $19.25/hr Weekly attendance bonus: $1.50/hr

• Welding & Assembly:
  Lay out, position, assemble, and MIG weld carbon steel and other metals according to blueprints, drawings, and engineering white samples.
• Material Preparation:
  Prepare components by clamping, grinding, and positioning parts before welding.
• Equipment Operation:
  Safely operate overhead cranes and forklifts to move heavy materials and finished products.
• Quality & Maintenance:
  Perform visual inspections of welds to meet company standards, and handle basic maintenance on welding gear.

• Experience:
  
  Minimum of 1 year of hands-on MIG fabrication welding experience.
• Physical Demands:
  Ability to stand for the entirety of a shift, lift up to 40 lbs, and work in flat, vertical, or overhead positions.
• Technical
  
  Skills:
  
  Ability to read tape measures, interpret blueprints, and pass a hands-on MIG weld test.
• Certifications:
  
  Welding certification or apprenticeship is preferred.
