Nights, Three 12‑hour shifts per week from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, rotating every other weekend and holiday

Description:
Henry Ford St John Hospital’s Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) is a 10‑bed unit specializing in the cardiac care of critically ill, medical‑based patients. Our nurse‑to‑patient ratio is 1:1‑2 based on acuity. We specialize in open heart and ECMO cases. Nurses with at least one year of prior ICU experience, or two or more years of cardiac stepdown experience, are encouraged to apply.
- Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Implement and monitor patient care plans.
- Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
- Serve as primary coordinator of all disciplines for well‑coordinated patient care.
- Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
- Assess and coordinate patient’s discharge planning needs with team members.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
REQUIRED:
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing or licensure at time of hire.
- 1 or more years of ICU experience, or 2+ years of cardiac telemetry experience preferred.
CERTIFICATION/LICENSURES
REQUIRED:
- BLS Provider within 1 month of hire. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- Registered Nurse credentialed by Michigan Board of Nursing before hire.
