Insight is looking for a compassionate and team oriented Registered Nurse to join our Medical Staff in order to provide patient care second to none! Top candidates for this position show a willingness to learn and grow, displaying outstanding attention to detail, while showing a desire to deliver the highest quality of patient care. The Registered Nurse is responsible for the well-being and care of patients.

A Nurse’s primary responsibilities include delivering care to patients, providing health education to patients, and working with an interdisciplinary team to create a rehabilitation plan for patients. The Nurse should have a minimum of 1 year Psych experience.

• Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation to direct or provide nursing care
• Directs and/or provides professional perioperative nursing care for an assigned group of patients across the age continuum
• Provides services in accordance with the plan of care
• Initiates the plan of care and necessary revisions
• Provides those services requiring substantial specialized nursing skills
• Prepares clinical and progress notes for each patient visit and summaries of care conferences on his/her patients in a timely manner as per company policy
• Safeguards the client/patient by observing appropriate infection control procedures including but not limited to universal precautions
• Informs personnel of changes in the condition and needs of the patient
• Counsels the patient and family/significant others in meeting nursing and related needs
• Participates in and presents in-service programs
• Understands and adheres to established company policies and procedures
• Processes orders and notifies physicians of patient needs and changes in condition. Completes certification/recertification orders and discharge summaries
• Determines the amount and type of nursing needed by each individual patient
• Conducts patient care conferences on patients assigned to his/her care
• Participates in peer review and performance improvement as assigned
• Participates in utilization review of medical records as assigned
• Gives total patient care as needed
• Takes on-call duty, nights, weekends and holidays, as needed
• Appropriately utilizes ICD-10 codes
• Other duties as assigned

• Demonstrates eligibility to work for any employer in the U.S.
• Graduate of an approved school of professional nursing and currently licensed in the state(s) in which practicing
• Must be able to achieve CPR certification within 30 days of employment
• Ability to provide excellent customer service to show superior patient care
