- Manipulations Under Anesthesia (MUAs)
As a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) at Insight, you’ll be responsible for the full scope of anesthesia care, working independently.
Duties Include:- Conduct pre-op evaluations and develop anesthesia plans
- Administer general, regional, or local anesthesia
- Support airway and life function management during procedures
Complete timely and accurate EMR documentation - Collaborate with the care team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Provides quality patient care considering age-specific, developmental, and cultural needs through competent anesthesia practice.
- Assembles necessary supplies, drugs, and equipment for each case, and tests equipment to ensure proper functioning for surgical procedures.
- Reviews patients’ medical records to determine types of procedures to be performed and evaluate patient’s medical status.
Establishes or confirms the presence of appropriate intravenous access. - Identifies and manages emergency situations, including assessment of adequacy of recovery or antagonism of muscle relaxants, narcotics, and other agents; implements appropriate management techniques.
- Carefully documents all activities on the anesthetic record or patients’ medical record.
- Any other duties as assigned
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Anesthesia program (Master’s or Doctorate)
- Current RN and CRNA licensure in the State of Michigan (or eligibility)
- BLS and ACLS certification required
- New graduates and experienced CRNAs are encouraged to apply!
