Insight is seeking a proactive, patient‑centric, and empathetic Nurse Practitioner to join our Urgent Care clinic located in Flint, MI. The role supports the urgent care clinic from 8 am – 8 pm on a contingent/PRN basis, ensuring proper coverage and delivering patient care second to none. The Nurse Practitioner will work within a holistic approach to neurological treatment, supporting both staff and patients.

• Interview and examine patients to determine a diagnosis
• Perform physical exams and patient observations
• Consult with healthcare professionals and families
• Order tests to ascertain the nature and extent of illnesses and injuries
• Administer and analyze diagnostic tests
• Monitor and operate medical equipment
• Diagnose health issues
• Record patients’ medical histories and symptoms
• Maintain patient records and provide documentation for insurance companies
• Detect changes in patients’ health
• Train patients and families to manage and prevent illness and injury
• Other duties as assigned

• Demonstrates eligibility to work for any employer in the U.S.
• Master’s degree from an accredited nursing program
• Previous experience within the field or related work environment preferred
• RN licensure in the state of employment or a compact party state, board‑certified by ANCC or AANP
• APN authorization in the state where employed to practice family health by the Board of Nurse Examiners
• Prescriptive authorization
• Proficiency with medical instruments and equipment required to perform work
• Knowledge of computer‑based data management programs and information systems, as well as medical records and point‑of‑interview technology
• A sound understanding of all pertinent federal and state regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge of disease prevention
• Able to work in a fast‑paced and stressful environment while maintaining positive energy
• Willingness to participate in goal‑setting and educational activities for professional advancement
