Quality Manager - Welding

We are currently assisting our client, an industrial manufacturer, with a Quality Manager search in the Flint, MI area.

Relocation assistance is available for candidates residing outside the area.

Responsibilities:

• Formulates and maintains quality objectives aligned with corporate policies and goals.
• Develops and initiates standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation.
• Provides technical training to department staff.
• Writes and/or approves procedures for the Quality Assurance department, ensuring all plant documentation is maintained.
• Plans and oversees analysis, inspection, design, testing, and integration to assure the quality of assigned products or components.
• Directly supervises 3 Certified Welding Inspectors (CWI) and 3 quality technicians.
• Performs quality engineering reviews of design documentation to ensure compliance with stated requirements, including vendor quality manuals and company quality records.

Requirements:

• Prior experience as a Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) is preferred
• Technical degree from an accredited university
• Quality leadership experience
