OverviewFremont RE-2 School District secondary teachers demonstrate knowledge of literacy and mathematics. They demonstrate and develop pedagogical expertise in their content/endorsement area(s). They establish a safe, inclusive, and respectful learning environment for a diverse population of students. Teachers plan and deliver effective instruction by creating an environment that facilitates student learning. They use data to drive instructional practices and provide students with feedback.
Teachers demonstrate professionalism through ethical conduct, reflection, and leadership. They develop strong relationships with families, students, and colleagues.
- Plan and deliver effective, standards-based instruction aligned with Colorado Content Standards
- Utilize assessment data to guide instructional decisions and provide timely, constructive feedback to students
- Create a classroom culture of high expectations, respect, and continuous improvement
- Engage in ongoing professional reflection and demonstrate ethical, professional conduct
- Foster strong relationships with students, families, colleagues, and the broader school community
- Accurately maintain student records and complete grading tasks in accordance with district policies
- Provide supervision and fulfill all assigned duties as required by the school
- Holds a valid Colorado Teaching License
- Designated as highly qualified to teach Mathematics (per ESSA standards)
- Demonstrates thorough understanding and acceptance of the Colorado Academic Standards for Mathematics
- Exhibits strong classroom management and student engagement strategies
- Skilled in utilizing student performance data to inform and adapt instruction
- Effective communicator with proficiency in both oral and written communication
- Maintains collaborative and respectful relationships with students, staff, administration, and parents
- Committed to adhering to all school, state, and federal instructional guidelines and requirements
- Successfully completed all required criminal background checks and fingerprinting procedures
- Contract:
161-day teacher contract; 8.5-hour workdays, 4-day school week - Salary:
Based on the District's Certified Teacher Salary Schedule; credit for up to 20 years of experience - Benefits:
- District-paid benefit package valued at $4,944 annually, including health, dental, vision, and life insurance
- Paid leave in accordance with Fremont RE-2 District policy
