Position Summary
The CT Technologist is a non-exempt position that reports to both the Director of Radiology and the Department Supervisor. This position requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. The individual must be capable of working in a stressful environment and taking appropriate action when necessary.
Essential functions include reviewing patient history and physician's orders, educating patients about procedures, equipment, and exams to ensure their understanding and cooperation, and preparing and administering contrast media and/or medications as ordered, within the scope of practice.
Minimum Qualifications
- Two (2) years of education:
Certificate, Associate's, or Bachelor's degree - Graduate of Program in Discipline, required or validated by current licensure
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) in Radiology and CT.
- (BLS) Basic Life Support required
