Registered Nurse (RN), PACU, Post Anesthesia Care Unit
Job Type: Full time – 36 hours per week; weekend staffing with 3:00 pm Friday to 7:00 am Monday call required.

Surgical Services at North Alabama Medical Center consists of 15 surgical suites, 6 endoscopy rooms, 6 private pre‑admission testing rooms, and 30 same‑day surgery rooms. The team includes surgeons, anesthesiologists, nurses, surgical technologists, and certified nurse anesthetists dedicated to outstanding, compassionate care from pre‑op to discharge.

How You’ll ContributeYou will deliver specialized plan‑of‑care interventions, shape exceptional patient journeys, and leverage cutting‑edge technology to directly impact patient well‑being.
Qualifications and Requirements- Current State RN license
- Associate’s Degree in Nursing
- 1–2 years of ICU/ER/PACU experience preferred
- Active AL or Compact RN license
- ACLS and PALS certification within 90 days of hire
Responsible for immediate post‑op recovery care of perioperative patients in the PACU using the nursing process—assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
