• Education:
  
  Associate's Degree in Nursing Required;
  Bachelor's Degree in Nursing Preferred
• License:
  Current RN to practice in the state of Alabama
• Certifications:
  
  ACLS, BCLS

Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

• Performs all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/healthcare errors.
• Ability to formulate an individualized plan of care, revise plan as indicated by the patient’s response to treatment, and evaluate overall plan daily for effectiveness.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, provider, patient, and family following chain of command as appropriate.
• Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
• Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
• Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well‑being of the patient protecting patient’s rights.
