• Greet and assist customers promptly:
  Approach and acknowledge customers immediately, provide assistance, and handle multiple customers efficiently.
• Understand and meet customer needs:
  Share product knowledge, answer questions, direct customers to merchandise, and offer recommendations; engage in suggestive selling while staying informed on product availability.
• Promote store events and promotions:
  Inform customers about current store events and promotions to enhance their shopping experience and drive sales.
• Resolve customer concerns:
  Address issues using product knowledge to offer solutions, aiming to turn returns into exchanges when possible.
• Communicate needs to management:
  Inform management about merchandise restocking, service requirements, and customer feedback in a timely manner.
• Support team and company goals:
  Collaborate with the team to achieve store objectives and maintain a positive work environment.

• At least 16 years old
• Available to work a flexible schedule
• Comfortable with or willing to learn technology (cash registers, handheld and mobile devices)
• Good communicator with the ability to engage with customers
• Able to handle customer interactions courteously and professionally
• Use basic information-gathering skills to solve problems
• Ability to learn procedural knowledge through on-the-job training

• Frequently operate cash register
• Frequently move merchandise weighing up to 25 lbs and place/remove merchandise up to heights of 5-10 feet
• Frequently ascend/descend ladders to retrieve and stock merchandise
• Frequently position self to kneel, bend, twist, and stoop in stockroom and on the sales floor
• Communicate with customers and coworkers by phone and in person; exchange accurate information
• Move across the sales floor to assist customers and retrieve/put away merchandise
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including day, evening, weekends, and possibly overnight shifts and travel (as required)
• Identify and follow email and print instructions regarding merchandise layouts, schedules, and procedures
• Remain in a stationary, upright position for 80% of the time
